Cécile Chauvat is a researcher employed part-time with the Marine and Freshwater Research Center of Iceland to assist Dr. Sandra Granquist in various projects. She is also employed as a project coordinator with the Icelandic Museum of Natural History. Cécile holds a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering from the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon, France. She also received a master’s degree in Coastal and Marine Management from the University Center of the Westfjords, where she wrote her thesis on seal watching management. Her main research interest is interdisciplinary, combining social and natural sciences to study the intersection of environmental education, biodiversity conservation, community engagement, and more.
