The award-winning Seal Museum in Hvammstangi is an exciting museum designed to provide you with the information you need to fully enjoy the seals you can see around Iceland’s shore and in coastal waters, as well as introduce you to the types of seals found around the world.
Information can also be found on the role of seals in Icelandic culture and traditions, including the role held by seal hunting.
The museum also holds exhibitions on the wildlife found around the Hvammstangi area with special emphasis on birds and marine life.
We are located on the harbor in the town of Hvammstangi, North Iceland, just 4 minutes from Route 1.
