The Wild North project has been operated from the Seal Center since 2011. Funded by NORA (Nordic Atlantic Cooperation) and NATA (North Atlantic Tourism Association), it provides tourism companies, scientists and official institutes from across the Northern Periphery area the opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise in the wildlife tourism sector. Most recently, it has produced locally appropriate codes of conduct, based on research on key species in the Northern Periphery, to guide interactions between tourists and wildlife.
