Margaret attended the University of Florida for her bachelor’s degree. She was in the Wildlife Ecology and Conservation program and spent her undergraduate years learning all about the flora and fauna of the southeast United States. She had been spending a lot of her time volunteering in the Florida Museum of Natural History in the mammalogy archives, cataloguing specimens from all over the world and decided that she wanted to expand her knowledge. She has always been interested in marine life and found that this program was a great way to combine her interests. Now, she is earning her master’s degree at the University of Iceland in the Aquatic Biology and Fisheries program. Her thesis project is focused on vocalizations of harbor seals on land.
